For music fans, the coronavirus has been particularly trying, as it has kept us all from seeing the live music we love so dearly. For the music venues that host those musical acts, the pandemic has been absolutely crushing, particularly from a financial perspective.

Coming up, music fans can directly support those venues through virtual events being hosted this week. There are also a couple of in-person shows happening, too.

Whether you venture out or stay at home, these artists and venues need your support more than ever. Plus these are really cool shows that you won’t want to miss!

The poem, “Music Heals on Fifth and Main,” can be read in full on the north side of the building located east of the pavilion. The mural, a combination of bold shapes and bright colors, was designed by Brent Beck and executed by Atalie Gagnet, two local artists. LISA POWELL / STAFF
